I really held onto this movie through the entire day. I would like to see the full movie because this really caught my attention. America really does not try hard at school. I do feel though that they should see our school because we are better than those two high school students representing Amerca. I do alot after school and I put alot of effort into my assignments and studies. I feel like the video chose the worst of the best, if you know what I’m saying. I feel that we need to step up more. We are letting America fall beneath our feet and we aren’t doing anything about it. I like that you teach us more than history, you teach us what is happening in the world, but, I think that instead of always learning and hearing about all of this, we need to be doing somthing about it. If we sit here learning everything our entire lives, we aren’t going to do anything to discover more! I believe that sometime, the best way to learn something is through experience.
This is hard to grasp that we are one of the lowest educational systems in the world! That one kid said he could do a math prob, in a few seconds. And that was when he was a kid! I’m “scared” of whats going to happen to our country.
I think this is pretty crazy. Its unbelievable that when you compare us to other countries we look…well…stupid. I dont know if its the fact that they dont have xbox or playstation or its just that their parents are more strict but something has got to change here. The same thing thats happening right now is what happened to Rome. They started trading and taking and relying on other countries for their supplies that eventually the countries virtually own them. We get our oil from other countries and oil pretty much runs american life. Were relying so much on other countries for the supplies we “need” for daily life that if everyone decided to stop supplying us..we’d fall. And you know how they always say the bigger they are the harder they fall…well we’d fall hard. We need to turn the tables and start causing other countries to rely on us. Thats how you get power. As a country we need to get our heads out of our butts or in other words video games & computers & phones and stuff and buckle down and get back to work. As i said before somethings got to change here, or else…im afraid…we gonna fall hard.
I think this might be a tad bit cinical, and this doesn’t necessarily represnt everyone. I’ll admit, we may be falling behind, but is this the students fault or the teachers/cirriculum writers’? It would seen everyone is trying to manufacture gloom and doom about our county. We may be in a bit of a slump, but we’ve seen a situation a bit like this already in the depression, but we made it through, so why can’t we now?
Hey Mr. Lyman!
Mayis kind of what you were saying in math class. Our generation has less and less respect. This kind of shows that the students don’t have enough or any respect for what their teachers are saying. But it is kind of strange to think that we were once this great leading country which we still are but we won’t be for very much longer if we keep going on at this rate. But this cideo clip was really cool to watch.
Thanks!
